Without a doubt, Sunny Leone is a rare find in the adult industry. She's a beautiful Indian-Canadian who has worked hard the past seven years to make a name for herself in the adult industry, and that hard work has more than paid off for this olive-skinned beauty.

Born in Ontario, Canada to Punjabi Sikh parents, Sunny was more of a tomboy than a princess, and her athleticism was evident as she used to ice skate and play street hockey, but she wouldn't be living in that winter wonderland forever. Sunny's parents had moved to Canada from India about 25 years ago, and they had applied for American citizenship before Sunny was born. Sunny's family was granted a green card when she was 15, and they relocated to California. In California, Sunny graduated from high school and then enrolled in college to pursue a degree in pediatric nursing, but her plans for the future took a different route after speaking with a classmate who was an exotic dancer as well.

Through her classmate, Sunny was introduced to an agent, John Stevens, who introduced her to a photographer for Penthouse magazine - Jay Allen. In 2001, Sunny's star began to rise as she was named March's Penthouse Pet of the Month, and later in the year, she was featured as a Hustler Honey for the holiday issue of Hustler. The magazine offers didn't stop there - Sunny could be found in Cheri, Swank, Club International, to name a few. In 2003, she was named Penthouse Pet of the Year, and in 2005, she took on the role of Internet Sales Representative for Adam & Eve's West Coast operations.

Despite earlier successes, it was in 2005 that her career soared to new heights. Sunny had signed a 3 year contract with Vivid Entertainment to become the first Vivid Girl of Indian descent. In her contract, Sunny stated that she would only star in lesbian scenes, but limiting herself to only performing with other female performers didn't slow her rise to stardom at all. Not only was she the first Vivid Girl of Indian descent, but she was also the first Vivid Girl to star in an interactive film, Virtual Vivid Girl Sunny Leone. The movie also won Sunny her first AVN award for Best Interactive DVD.

Sunny renewed her contract with Vivid in 2007, and in a change from her first contract with Vivid, she decided to perform in boy/girl scenes with only one man - her then-fiance Matt Erikson. This decision resulted in the release of Sunny Loves Matt, which, due to high anticipation, made it into the top 10 for many adult DVD charts.

2008 holds many exciting developments for Sunny Leone. She and her fiance have broken up, but she has continued to film scenes with men, and she has several films ready to be released, such as The Other Side of Sunny and Sunny Extreme. She has also taken part in activities outside of the adult industry, including a promotional video for Declare Yourself, a non-profit and non-partisan voter registration campaign and a mainstream film, Pirates Blood, which should be released in late 2008.

While Sunny Leone works hard to make a name for herself, she does take the time to relax and enjoy her favorite activities, such as horse riding and reading. Sunny also enjoys abstract paintings and playing World of Warcraft, and she gets to display her athletic side when playing on a women's soccer league team.
