While she was a senior in high school, Gina got her start in the adult world by working as a stripper at Al's Diamond Cabaret in Reading, Pennsylvania, a strip club where several female adult film stars have started their careers. Her first video, 18 in Vegas, featured her and Travis Knight, her new husband at the time, performing a boy-girl scene together. Gina and Travis have filmed more scenes together over the course of their careers, and they have filmed scenes with other partners as well, but their marriage is still strong today.
In 2004, Gina and her husband started their own production company, Gina Lynn Productions, and since starting the company, Gina has begun directing movies as well as starring in them. The most recent movies where she has been both the director and a performer are Drowning in Bitch Juice 3 and Fresh Breed 5.
The 2008 AVN awards brought Gina and Travis their first award for Gina Lynn Productions with DD's and Derrieres 2, which was nominated for and won the Best Big Bust Release award. Gina Lynn is definitely a person we want to see more of in the future, both in front of and behind the camera.

Interview With Gina Lynn - June 29, 2003
On The Set of Lil' Red in Los Angeles, CA
Pornstar Empire: How did you get into the adult film business?
Gina Lynn: I've been dancing for a really long time, and I was a house girl at this club...and I used to meet a lot of features, most of them are porn stars. And he started having me feature, so I needed some credits, so did magazines for years before I decided to do adult; and I got into a contract right away with Pleasure Productions.
Q: Why the adult industry in general?
Gina Lynn: I did the adult industry because I wanted my price to go up on the road. My main thing was is feature dancing I've been doing that for six years now and its skyrocketed now, and all that hard work I put into it I am getting paid for it very well.
Q: How many films have you done in the course of your career?
Gina Lynn: Under fifty.
Q: Do you have a favorite?
Gina Lynn: Yeah, actually. Since Andre's [Madness] been shooting. I think one is called A Fortune and the other is called High Rise. But the newer films I've done with him lately like Deviant Behavior and Lil' Red are going to be great upcoming films that are going to come out with him.
Q: Now you've become something of a mini-celebrity in the mainstream world.
Gina Lynn: Yeah, you know what, my first mainstream project was Third Watch. My best friend had sent my picture in to the casting agent for The Sopranos. I when in there that day, and there were people there from Third Watch, and they said we definitely want you for a Bada Bing Girl, but can you stay over night and do this episode of Third Watch? Sure! I've been doing a lot of auditions. I did Analyze That with Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal. Eminem saw me - he saw me in Analyze That - had no name for me, didn't know I was a porn star. He found me within seven hours. Shannon Elizabeth had the original roll for the "Superman" video, but he's like I gotta have the Analyze That video. When he found out I was an adult film star he was like, even better! I guess he's, um, a fan.
Q: Now of course you have done The Sopranos...
Gina Lynn: I did season four, and I am shooting season five. Now I am beyond the Bada Bing girl because I have a speaking roll with James Gandolfini. I had to audition. Twenty other girls... and these are mainstream girls... auditioned too. They didn't know I was a porn star. I try to keep that low key. I got the audition because I did good.
Q: What's it like acting across from somebody like James Gandolfini who is a great actor in his own right?
Gina Lynn: Oh my gosh. Of course I was intimidated! He was almost as intimidated as I was. Because I am sitting there speaking to him, topless, and he doesn't want to keep staring at me, but he can't help it!
Q: What is the difference, for those that don't know, between a mainstream and an adult film set?
Gina Lynn: Oh, there's like hundreds of people there [on a mainstream set]. There's assistants for assistants. It's crazy. The camera angles and everything - from what Andre [Madness] does - are pretty much the same. They take Polaroids of everything. Every look, every time you step away from something just so they can remember it. It's a lot of fun... No sex though!
Q: Now the whole Eminem thing...Are you getting tired of people asking if you actually with him?
Gina Lynn: Yeah, because I didn't. I had the chance to. I mean there was a reason why he brought me out there. But it was just an awkward situation. I was there for hours. I made out with him. We were all over each other if you've seen the video. That's what the video is about. He invited me to his room. But he had like five bodyguards and that was kind of scary to go in with five different big guys with him along. If he was by himself... He was a good kisser...
Q: Noted... How do you explain the public fascination with a celebrity's sex life, whether it's in adult or mainstream?
Gina Lynn: As for me...the way people look at me. Sometimes I'm embarrassed by it because I think I'm just like a normal girl. When people meet me it's like, "Oh My God you're Gina Lynn!" It kind of weirds me out. It's kinda cool in a way. I'm not star-struck. The only person I was a little star-struck by was Robert De Niro. He came up and introduced himself to me, shook my hand, and took pictures with me. I just couldn't stop starring at him... Casino one of my favorite movies.
Q: Now the comparisons have been flying between you and Jenna Jameson...
Gina Lynn: I can't believe that! I haven't heard that, but that's what everybody is talking about. I love Jenna. She runs my website. She even said it. She requested me for a Hustler shoot, but they had shot me too soon, so I guess she's going to have to use another girl. I'm flattered she asked to do it with me.
Q: There's also been rumors of you getting out of the industry, or you retiring...
Gina Lynn: I have some big projects in the mainstream and I'm not sure what I am going to do with the adult yet. I am definitely going to leave Pleasure at the end of my contract. And I already told them that and I'm not leaving on bad terms. I love them. They gave me my start. I helped them along too with all the mainstream publicity I've been getting.
Q: Do you want to keep doing mainstream stuff?
Gina Lynn: I want to keep doing it, and also keep doing adult. I'm getting away with it.
Q: Did you have any problems as far as crossing over between the two?
Gina Lynn: The rolls I am getting are people looking for me, and they are rolls I would play. Something sexy of course. I would like to play something different. You know, I am just going to take what I can get. Its not like I am going to be a huge actress. I'm just happy everything is coming my way. Like I just did a B Movie called Survive This, it's a take off on Survivor, I had a lot of fun. One of the Jerky Boys...was one of the main actors.
Q: Now you commute actually between the East and West Coast...
Gina Lynn: Yeah I think that's what makes me stand out. I don't live in L.A. like other girls do. All my mainstream work comes from New York City.
Q: Now what's the difference between New York and L.A.? The age old fight.
Gina Lynn: I think New York people are more individual. When I go to different bars and clubs. As for L.A. people here they're kind of the same. Mainly the girls. They all look the same. New York is awesome. When I walk in New York they're like she must be from L.A., but I am the typical Jersey girl. That's where I grew up.
Q: Do you're parents and family know what you are doing?
Gina Lynn: Yes. My mother has always known. But when Entertainment Tonight put me on TV - oh my gosh - my whole family found out!
Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Gina Lynn: I am hoping to be involved in adult still. But I want to be behind the camera. Owning a company, something like Club Jenna or Jill Kelly Productions.
Q: So we can look forward to a Gina Lynn Productions?
Gina Lynn: Yeah, definitely!
Q: Do you have a website you'd like to plug?
Gina Lynn: It's GinaLynn.com.
