Michael Zen directs another high quality movie from all aspects. Misty Rain plays a cat burglar how tells her stories of stealing and sex. Mark Davis spanks then fucks Roxanne Hall. Misty takes on Carressa Savage in a bondage scene. There is a guy on two girl scene. Misty takes on a couple wrapped in plastic wrap. Misty and Tony Tedeschi get it on in a hospital bed. The multi-angle (2 angles) switching is flawless and lasts through a good bit of the movie.
The full length audio commentary is very interesting and humorous. The 22 minute behind the scenes gives you an in-depth look at every scene, Michael Zen, and the cast.

I really don't see what all the fuss is over this DVD . While it does have some nice features the sex is borderline terrible. The multiple angles are a good idea but are not worth switching to at anytime in the film.
The final rating of this movie for me will appear to be above average even though that is not how I would rate it. This is because I, like many other people, buy adult DVD's for great sex. Above average features are a nice bonus, but are only sprikles on a well iced cake.
If you like to watch great sex this is probably not the DVD for you.

This movie is technically flawless, but plotwise it
never really finds a consistent mood and, for the sex
ranges from pretty hot to lukewarm to downright boring.
The best scene by far is the first coupling, between
Brits Roxanne Hall and Mark Davis. It starts out
with a spanking and proceeds to most of what a man and
woman can do together. Misty interrupts once with a cell
phone call. No one can say that female porn stars
don't actually climax; Hall visibly shivers when she
comes, which she does more than once in this scene.
The theme music is vaguely spooky, as are the titles,
but is there anything frightening about a sexy blone
cat burglar that looks like Misty Rain? Doesn't really
work. The next scene features Sydnee Steele, Inari
Vachs and Julian. Julian has a huge dong, but is not
a particularly charismatic stud. The scene lacks
heat.
The next scene features Misty and Caressa Savage in
an uneven lesbian romp. Caressa is found suspended
in pony girl garb. At the end of the scene Savage shares
a cigarette with Misty and expels smoke from her pussy.
Novel, but not very sexy.
At this point, you have to flip the disc over, which
is annoying at best, and disastrous if you happen
to be romping with your girlfriend, as I was at that
particular moment. You then get the FBI warning and
the title 18 notice again, followed by the trailer,
again. Why? It's a nice trailer, but at this point
we're halfway through the movie and we'd like to get
on with it.
Then there's a threeway between Misty, Sydnee and
Julian. Finally, there is the coupling between Misty
and Tony Tedeschi, who've been chatting in his
hospital room between sex scenes. Strangely, this
coupling is interrrupted by flashbacks to the other
sex scenes.
There are alot of extras on this disc, including
bios, the making of, and a full length director's
commentary. Unfortunately, the director largely
confines his commentary to sophomoric wisecracks about
what the talent is doing on the screen, rather
than any directorial insights you would be interested in.
In sum, the production values and technical aspects
of this DVD were excellent, but the content is really
pretty tame and pedestrian.

This movie has everything that an adult movie should have. The film quality was great and it had a plot without taking away from the heat of the sex. I don't know where people got the idea to make a comedy porno. It's an oxymoron! This film doesn't play that game, it simply cuts to the chase. The sets and costumes accent each scene and the girls look great. This is one DVD that you can watch without having to adjust the angle to make it decently viewable. You know, sometimes you're busy with your lady and don't have time to play with the remote. After watching the first scene, you'll be hooked. Roxanne Hall looked like she was really into this. It helps when the girls look like they're having a good time. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough scenes. Overall, Taboo 17 is a great movie. I hope there will be more like it in the future. Maybe this can be an example to others. Great couples film too!

This disc has no real flaws in my opinion.
The movie itself is quite good, although I was surprised a bit: when Misty finally got to fuck the guy at the end of the movie, I found the sex scenes seen before to be hotter !
Personally, I liked the scene at the beginning the most: the girl talks very nasty when she gets spanked, and seems to enjoy the whole scene as much as I did watching it.
The features are GREAT. An automatic slideshow, nice preview trailers of other Metro films, good index, very humorous 'Making of' and commentary.
The audio was very nice, even decent music. The picture is crystal-clear, even the previews. Only flaw was the second camera angle looking not so sharp most of the time.
I am impressed. (and will buy more Metro titles, i think...)

We reviewed the Taboo 17 videotape in our August issue, where it earned four
A's. The plot of the video is set out there, so we won't repeat it here. On
the DVD, the feature is divided in to six chapter, each with its own
animated menu button that displays approximately the first two minutes of
the scene.
However, customers of mainstream DVDs have come to expect Hollywood to
supply at least a few bells and whistles for this digital medium that would
be either difficult or impossible to provide on video tape. Cal Vista/ Metro
has taken up that gauntlet for XXX, and Taboo 17 has plenty of them.
For one thing, the entire feature was shot with two cameras, providing
plenty of "second angle" footage for the real aficionado. Trouble is, a lot
of that footage is less than interesting. Its unlikely, for instance, that
many viewers would want to watch Misty Rain looking through a window (and
occasionally rubbing her crotch) when they could see Mark Davis giving maid
Roxanne Hall the paddling she "deserves." However, there's also plenty of
worthwhile material in Angle 2; viewers will just have to experiment to find
the mix they most enjoy.
Of the extra features, best is the "behind the scenes" footage, which gives
the viewer a real sense of "being there as it happens." SEE porn stars
without make-up ! SEE director Michael Zen pray for a cumshot! SEE the
actual faces of Zen and several of the tech crew! SEE Misty Rain about to
wash cum off her chest! But mostly, SEE how much fun it can be making a porn
feature!
The other major facet of this DVD is the commentary by Zen and production
manager JB, which is available on the disc's, second audio channel. The two
play off each other well, combining insights and humor so fluidly that
viewers will probably want to watch the disc at least once with only the
commentary track playing behind the visuals.
Viewers will also find fact sheets on the four major actresses (Inari Vachs,
Roxanne Hall, Sydnee Steele and Caressa Savage); a photo gallery of
production shots presented as an automatic slide show; the Taboo 17 trailer
( in fact, that one's unavoidable; it plays as soon as you put the disc in
the player); info on Metro's Website and on the corporation itself: and a
list of Metro's other currently available DVDs.
This is one excellent disc.
