When it comes to cinematic smut, there is only a handful of filmmakers who can match the influence and creativity of John Leslie. Beginning with his feature films for VCA (CHAMELEON, THE TEASE and ANYTHING THAT MOVES) and continuing with his vignette-based titles for Evil Angel (THE VOYEUR, FRESH MEAT and DROP SEX), this actor turned director has produced a legacy of masturbation fodder which will be fondly remembered by raincoaters and pornophiles alike for years to come.
GOBBLE THE GOOP, however, falls a bit short of what we might otherwise expect from this living legend. It's basically an oral gangbang and swallowing video, and not much more than that. Missing from this "2 hours, 50 minutes Director's Cut" is the sense of voyeuristic fun and atmosphere present in most Leslie flicks. The direction, camera work, and set-ups are so straightforward and unimaginative, GOBBLE could have been hacked out by any number of (albeit talented) gonzo directors. The sexual tension and carnal mood we see in titles like THE VOYEUR 22 (where Kody and Bree do an awesome threesome with Mark Davis) and FRESH MEAT 16 (with Alexis Malone and Ashley Long) are nowhere to be found in any of the seven scenes which fill this disc, and I find the lack of creative vision disappointing.
Still, there is a lot of good, no-nonsense hardcore to be found. Crystal Ray, a dirty blonde with an attitude to match, teases us for a few good minutes by a swimming pool before marching indoors to meet a quartet of horny dudes. The pink top and tight black hot pants make her look appropriately slutty enough for the deep throat-fucking and cum-swallowing which inevitably follows. I enjoyed this scene, but that's about it.
Dark-haired Brandi Lyons is introduced smoking a cigarette and dressed in a black skirt and blouse. It's a sexy presentation, and she is naturally at ease in front of the camera while doing a striptease on a stripper's pole set in a garage. After she removed her bright red bra, I couldn't help but notice that her left nipple appeared somewhat inverted compared to her right. However, her lack of absolute symmetry doesn't distract from her fellatio skills, which are excellent and include lots of head movement and deep throating. Like Crystal, she swallows her four guys without hesitation.
The same pattern of conduct is followed by Alexis Malone, a cute blonde and always dependable slut (again, see FRESH MEAT 16) who only has to take on three men. We get a change of pace with Layla Rivera and Holly Wellin, a blonde and brunette team who play as hard as they look. They fool around with each other while standing up, exchanging hard wet kisses and stroking each other's body insatiably. Cunnilingus is kept to a moderate minimum, as the girls don strap-on dildos for some faux cock sucking, an act which is of little interest to me. Thankfully, four guys show-up so the two can engage in real fellatio. The girls cum-swap after the guys shoot their loads, but the camera pans away a bit too soon before we get the full flavor (pun intended) of their messy exchange.
We get back to single girl performances with Keri Sable, a very attractive blonde who shows off her perfect ass and long legs by hiking up her blue skirt and blue panties. This girl is so sexy that watching her get finger-fucked and swallow the cum of her four suitors was strictly a bonus. She isn't nearly as uninhibited as the other girls in GOBBLE THE GOOP, but her sexual magnetism makes her scene very wankable, indeed.
The video concludes with separate scenes featuring Sativa Rose (a girl who appears to be Latina), and Marie Love, an African American sexpot. Both take on a trio of guys, and both do what's expected of them, though neither do anything spectacular. Interestingly, their introductory masturbation shows are more energetic and heated than the eventual oral work, which is probably why I found both their scenes a bit robotic. Marie is an especially hot tease, and it's too bad that she couldn't muster enough excitement when it came time to do the real dirty deed.

Had GOBBLE THE GOOP been made by any other director, I would have been impressed. But coming from a talent like John Leslie, it's a bit of an artistic letdown and erotic disappointment.
