A series like
Cheating Wives Tales requires a fair amount of creativity to pull-off. Well, at least more than most all-sex titles. While the premise is far from original, each scene must narratively set the stage for the action that follows. Since this is Mario Rossi's fourth installment of the series, I'm guessing he has this part down by now. But establishing a vignette is only part of the challenge. Let's see how this one plays out.

There's quite a few extras to browse through too, starting off the BTS footage. This runs for about 14 minutes and consists solely of interviews with Kasey, Carolyn, and Regan. Cheating Wives Tales 4 is well-shot and produced, but the action is painfully average. For one, all of the talent is a bit over the top, robbing the scenes of any semblance of authenticity. Plus, the scenes are way too long. Each scene runs well over half an hour in length, which seems generous. But there's no real sense of variety and absolutely no surprises, quickly making the fast-forward button your best friend. But I must admit, the vignette setups are well developed and definitely add some much-needed heat the scenes. Sure, the setups aren't very original, but they do work. But if you're not a big fan of narrative intros, then you're probably better off with another title.
