Male performer Kurt Lockwood directs, produces and stars in
The Real Boogie Nights, an adult version of Paul Thomas Anderson's great 1997 mainstream movie about the adult industry in the 1970s, that's loosely based on the John Holmes story. While this adult version can't hope to match the mainstream one in terms of look, acting and storytelling, it does have one advantage that
Boogie Nights did not: the ability to show hardcore sex.
Kurt's obviously a big fan of P.T.'s movie, as he recreates many of the notable scenes from the mainstream version. Here, Kurt is playing the Dirk Diggler character, while Ron Jeremy tackles the Jack Horner role; Sunny Lane portrays "Skater Girl"; and adult legend Amber Lynn gives her version of
Boogie Nights' Amber Waves character - a character that was supposedly based on Amber Lynn to begin with. The acting here isn't exactly top-notch (even for a porno), but Kurt and Ron do a nice job, and their characters have the majority of the screen time anyway.
The movie opens the same way
Boogie Nights did, with Kurt's character working in a disco and with Ron's character noticing what a big package he seems to be packing. It's then back to Ron's pad for a demonstration, as he watches Kurt fuck Sunny Lane on his couch - and yes, she
does keep the roller skates on!
Back at his home, we get to watch Kurt make out with a girlfriend played by Hailey Young. Hailey has a petite, all-natural body that is only really marred by a pair of star tattoos on her lower stomach and a large one on her tailbone. Although she doesn't (yet) do anal, she'll probably remind most viewers of Taylor Rain when she first got into the business, and she does a nice job here with Kurt, taking a load into her mouth as the scene comes to a conclusion.
Going to a porn shoot to meet Ron, Kurt's character gets to perform for the first time on camera - and it's an office scene with the one and only Amber Lynn. Amber doesn't look as good as she did in the 80's (she's had a lot of cosmetic work...and just not to her chest), but she still knows how to have sex in front of the camera, and we get to see her take it in all of the standard positions (including a nice spoon angle where both performers are up on the desk). The action ends with Kurt releasing his load onto Amber's face and into her mouth.
Just like in
Boogie Nights, Kurt's character gets involved with Amber, and we see him rise to the top of the adult industry. He takes on the stage name of "Kurt Lockwood" and sweeps the major categories at the 1979 AVN Awards. But after the show, Amber introduces her to the wonders of cocaine, and we see the beginnings of what will be a huge downfall.
As Kurt's career starts to spiral out of control, we get to see some other porn performances, both of them interracial in nature. First there's Jack Lawrence playing a cop in a porn movie with Marie Luv, and "pumping" her for a little information. Then there's a nice scene between Gwen Diamond (sexually speaking, she's the hottest girl in this movie) and Tee Reel that begins with Tee force-feeding his cock to Gwen, and ends with him shooting his jizz into her mouth.
After Jack hits rock bottom (including a recreation of the big shootout in the mainstream film), he gets a second chance at his career, and the final scene has him in a threesome with Gwen Diamond and Tiffany Price that is easily the hottest action in the movie. Those who haven't seen a lot of Kurt on DVD should probably be warned that he likes to have his behind licked and fingered, and the girls take turns doing this during the scene. What's best here, though, is the fact that both women are extremely vocal during the action - especially Gwen, who really seems to be into the sex. There's a really nice climax here, as Jack pumps a load into Tiffany's mouth, and we get to see her cum swap it with Gwen.
Although it probably should have been shot widescreen (it probably deserved a bigger production budget too, but who am I to say?),
The Real Boogie Nights is a full-screen movie with 2.0 Dolby sound. Extras are only about average, with a behind the scenes segment (36-minutes); slide shows for all the female stars; and 8 trailers for other Sex Z titles - but the behind the scenes footage makes the bonus material worthwhile, in that it includes sexual action that isn't in the movie at all, including Marie Luv teaming up with Tee Real, and Ron Jeremy taking on several girls.
Because it is pretty loyal in spoofing the Paul Thomas Anderson version, fans of
Boogie Nights will definitely want to check out
The Real Boogie Nights.
