Let us all thank the Pagan Porn Gods that Wicked Pictures has a director like the AVN-Award Winning Brad Armstrong, who scores another winner of a title with TASTY. This fun and unpretentious release is colorful, lightweight, and full of scrumpdillyupmptious eye-candy, all produced and tightly edited in one pleasing package. Let me be honest: the last batch of Wicked features I've seen were so lackluster when it came to sexual content, and so dull in terms of storyline that I was beginning to dread reviewing another of their videos. Fortunately, TASTY, while not necessarily a stunning artistic achievement in the erotic arts, restores my faith in the company's product and should be seen by anyone who, like me, might have lost faith in this highly esteemed studio.
Super-sexy Jessica Drake is the star of the show, and she carries the vignette-oriented flick effortlessly. She and the equally alluring Kristen Price show off their physical talents in a kitchen and cooking-based scenario with Eric Masterson. The whole scene plays like a hardcore music video, a style employed in previous Armstrong-directed classics like MIRAGE, VEGAS OR BUST, and PARK AVENUE. Both girls look good enough to eat even before they strip down their skimpy uniforms and serve themselves up to Chef Masterson. The double-team blowjob is a great visual, if not a little short on time (a few more minutes of Jessica and Kristen exchanging kisses in between licks would have really gone a long way). Kristen uses her tongue to sample some candy sprinkles off his balls, but that shot only last a few seconds (which I appreciate since mixing food directly with sex tends to gross me out). Eric pummels the brunette while wearing a condom, making Jessica's vagina-to-mouth fellatio a bit less exciting, but hey, safety first. After awhile, Jessica gets her turn at being banged doggy style as she eats away at Kristen. Finally, Miss Price gets the finishing strokes until Mr. Masterson deftly removes the rubber and jacks off between the two girls' tongues and onto a chocolate frosted cake (obviously made of plastic, as Kristen grasps the dessert by its side). The two take a few licks off the added icing before we fade to black. It's a pretty good opening which sets the tone and quality of the remaining scenes.
Blonde Kylie Wilde, who upon first glance reminds me strongly of the retired adult superstar Inari Vachs, squeezes in between Randy Spears and Chris Cannon on an outdoor patio. The food theme continues with both guys showing off their barbecuing skills, but it's lovely Miss Wilde who gets cooking. The two studs play a round robin of banging and being sucked off on a picnic table and while standing up, and Miss Wilde is always working non-stop. I was waiting for some DP action to take place, but alas, it never occurs. Kylie is more than willing, however, to take both loads into her mouth one at a time, and her enthusiasm and energetic demeanor again serve as a reminder of the legendary talents of Miss Vachs.
Jessica Drake again shows off her spectacular figure and long-legged beauty dressed in a white micro miniskirt and orange halter top in the next scene, which focuses on frozen treats. She and top-heavy brunette Austin Kincaid lick away at plastic ice cream cones (real ice-cream would have melted instantly being in close proximity to these scorching babes) outside of a truck, and again, the quick-cut visuals are terrific. The two girls then treat Good Humor Man Barrett Blade to some tag-team oral work, before the banging begins. As with the first scene, the visual presence of condoms lessens the overall erotic impact, even though Jessica gets pile-driven Max Hardcore-style, but it's not enough to affect your overall enjoyment. Also, Miss Kincaid is rather close-lipped when it comes to the money shot, but Miss Drake is never shy and her hungry taste for cum always makes a good scene better.
Latin hottie Cassandra Cruz does satisfying work sucking and getting fucked by Marco Banderas, in another kitchen scene focusing on Italian cuisine (namely, the ever exotic cheese pizza). The action is a little more energetic, and shot in a pseudo gonzo-style (emphasizing low angles and more sustained close-ups). Like all the other scenes, there is no anal play, and when Marco (Polo!) cums on top of a slice of pizza, she skillfully eats the portions which don't appear to have much of his own semen topping.
Jessica Drake reunites with Kristen Price in a girl-girl outing where the pastel colors of cotton candy serve as a background (and as a foreground, with both girls wielding pink and blue dildos). Need I mention again that Jessica looks fantastic? It's not that I've never noticed Miss Drake before, but it's a credit to the skillful eye of Director Armstrong that he can take a beauty like Jessica and make her even look more stunning. Miss Price, of course, is no slouch herself, but it's her blonde partner who draws most of the attention, and not just because she applies a dildo in her ass while the brunette sticks another in her twat. Kristen also allows the foreign object in her backdoor, but this lesbian scene is geared more for couples than the raincoat crowd.
Finally, TASTY ends appropriately with formal dining, as Maid Jessica offers her services to dinner guests Nautica Thorn, who is paired with a returning Mr. Masterson, and to August, who gets first hand direction by the Mr. Armstrong himself. While not exactly a full blast orgy, this multi-participant five-way is coordinated impressively, with each girl getting about equal screen time, and action which maintains its level of energy from beginning to end. Yet again, condoms dissipate some of the natural heat, but added nastiness can be found when Miss Drake applies a wine bottle inside of her and all three girls engage in cum-swapping. The movie concludes with Jessica's voice-over bidding us adieu right before the credits roll.
Visually, the flick is a pleasure to watch, and not just because of the girls. Director of Photography Francois Clousot is the man to look up if any director wanted to make a porn adaption of "Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory" ("Willy Wanker And the Cum-Lot Factory"?!) and he makes Armstrong's art direction come alive. The sound is crisp and clean, with the natural sounds of sex coming through fairly clearly even with all the wall-to-wall music. The Behind The Scenes featurette is fun, if not particularly insightful or original. We get to see Marco trying to throw pizza dough in the air as guided by a prop master, Jessica inhaling helium, and Mr. Armstrong lending his own humorous comments during the shooting. Like the main feature itself, it's all in good fun.
TASTY is one of the most enjoyably lightweight pornos I've seen in a longtime. It seems unfair to burden such a fluffy piece of work with overwrought praise, so let me just strongly recommend viewers get their own taste of TASTY.
