Wicked Pictures has put out a number of impressive releases over the past month or so, and now it's time for Jessica Drake to shine in the release of
Public Service, one of the last movies directed by David Stanley for Wicked (he was inexplicably given his walking papers a few months back).
Stanley is best known for his David Lynch-like style of direction - often presenting storylines and characters that are off-center, quirky and sometimes incomprehensible. It's therefore kind of ironic that one of Stanley's final Wicked releases is pretty much a straightforward affair.
As the movie opens, we find Barrett Blade in a "house of ill repute" watching Dana DeArmond and Kelly Skyline make out with each other. Barrett has very little contact with the girls, but does stroke himself off onto them at the conclusion of the scene. He then invites the girls to a motel across the road.
The movie then jumps to Jessica - playing a cop - interrogating Barrett at the police station. It turns out the two girls have gone missing, are presumed dead, and Barrett is the prime suspect. To make matters worse, Barrett's character is the husband of Jessica's character!
Now I won't debate how no police force in the country would let a police officer head up the investigation of their own spouse, only to say that what's improbable in real life makes for pretty good drama on-screen. The rest of
Public Service has Jessica trying to find out what really happened to the missing girls - starting with going undercover at the sex club where they both worked.
Jessica's undercover work is the highlight of the movie, as far as the sexual scenes are concerned. She first has to show off her body to her new boss (Eric Masterson), who makes her hold out her hands so he can jerk off in them. Later, Jessica masturbates to a threesome between Lindsay Meadows, Darryl Hannah and Chris Cannon. Finally, Jessica goes "all the way" with Randy Spears, who is playing a character Jessica believes might be responsible for the girls' disappearance.
Like a number of couples-oriented features I've watched in the last several weeks (including Wicked's own
The Accidental Hooker),
Public Service wraps up with a surprise twist. However, the twist here really wasn't needed at all, and when viewers find out what really took place, they may not only question the motive of the real murderer, but the logic behind everything that led up to the final few scenes.
Still,
Public Service is a fine piece of entertainment, and anyone who's had a fantasy about watching Jessica Drake get it on while dressed in a cop uniform will certainly want to check out her scene with Randy in this movie.
Extras on the disc include a bonus scene with Jessica from
The Artist; a 20-minute behind the scenes segment; a brief look at the box cover shoot; slide shows; star stats; and trailers (both preloaded and in the extras menu) for other Wicked releases, as well as one for this movie.
