All girl films are kind of tough. I mean, the typical sequence of action in heterosexual porn just can't be there, and I think that leaves many directors puzzled with how to really build a definitive end to a scene without a cumshot. That's the question I go into
Cannibals: Women Eating Women with. And really? We couldn't do better on a title than that?
We open with Aiden and Blue Angel in a pool scene, something that is both nice and difficult. Pool scenes are always great for the fact that you get to incorporate water, one of those things that seems to up the sex appeal on just about any woman. The detraction, though, is the outdoor lighting and the shadows that seems to create. This means that the director has to be far choosier about positions, angles, and the like. The opening sequence seems to be just a bit too far away, with every attempt to zoom in resulting in the camera getting rather unstable. Now these are two really quite thin girls, which also plays havoc with angles. I mean, they're attractive and all, but the thigh diameter is frighteningly small here. That also means not much to block light or create any kind of consistency. The 69 sequence, which should have been stunning, was mundane just for lack of any accessible points. The rest of the scene hardly gets better, a bit overacted and lacking the passion that really marks a great girl girl scene.
This too is the problem with the Eve Angel and Betty Saint scene that follows, going for that classic upper class garden motif that almost always mean the acting will be too stiff and lacking any kind of passion. This scene too is overacted, and even though there is a nice rimming sequence, which usually can up the heat in this kind of encounter, nothing gets going between these two that seems genuine. A disappointment.
Tereza Ilova and Billy Raise seem to show some promise, having that kind of giggly girlfriends thing going on a balcony. I like the way they are together, though there is far too much wind going on for them to be outdoors considering the way they have to hold their own hair back. Here the reactions seem that much more natural, with both ladies seeming to want to enjoy each other. One thing I've liked about this film to this point is how toys aren't prominent. That goes out the window a bit here as they go to the dildos late in the scene, a shame as they didn't seem necessary, though after a few exchanges they almost seemed to run out of ideas. Still a solid scene, though one that perhaps could have been even more.
Tina, Rose, and Laura Crystal form a three way to end the disc, the way porn used to build up to the most complicated scene at the end of whatever film. Yet again we're outdoors, strangely on a chair that seems to have been left in the middle of a driveway. I have no idea. I had hopes that with three women, there would be some really great work here, though it's rare that more than one was working at a time, and the reactions were so out of proportion to the action that it was almost comical. Being this is all so obviously European, imagine a really bad film from Private maybe about five years ago, and you'd have it. Though to be fair to Private, they used to make very little that was bad. This scene is seemingly over before it starts, providing very little incentive to watch it. The women are all kind of anonymous, even bland.
This certainly isn't the Vouyer Media we all know and love, and is clearly the result of some sort of distribution deal. I hope this is not the wave of the future for them, as they won't be long for this earth like that.
Cannibals: Women Eating Women implies by the title ferocity and an almost savage lust. If only there were some sort of human tribal culture founded on indifference, perhaps we could name this that instead. As it stands, this film leaves me decidedly not hungry.
