I was first introduced to Fusxion from a magazine a number of years back. It wasn't hard to put some money down for it, as it had both Katin and Eve Lawrence on the cover. At this point I didn't even know they were a film studio, so finding the films each photo shoot was from was a real eye opener. There was definitely some great stuff in there.
But they seemed to get beaten to the punch just a bit by 3rd Degree, Zero Tolerance, and a tenacious Diabolic. The Metro imprint never quite took off the way I expected it to. So it was nice to see
Brunettes: The Darkside, if only as evidence that they're still alive over there. As a big fan of brunettes, I was looking forward to this one, even as a compilation disc. And while it doesn't always deliver, there is a solid scene or two amongst the eight on offer to make it worth your while.
The amazing eyes of Ava Rose are up first. I can't remember which film it was, but I think Sam No was directing when she commented that Ava certainly didn't have that ass when she was a contract star. I'm happy that she traded up from being non-contract and bootied herself up. As much as I really try to love this scene, though, it's far too jumpy. There isn't enough patience by the director to stick with one shot long enough, with only a shot of Ava kind of giving a blowjob with her head hanging off the couch (the typical face fucking position) showing any kind of consistency in the opening minutes. The foreplay stays downstairs while the sex moves upstairs, with a very long and convoluted trip up the stairs. The positions are pretty standard, with doggie, cowgirl and reverse cowgirl. The lighting is nice, maybe just a bit too bright, but the camera angles are generally too low. For most of the shots, what we get is crotch and legs with a head poking out. I maybe overstate a bit, but not by much. Chest shot ends it, and it looks like neither Ava nor the camera operator knows what to do next. She's looking around a bit confused, and the camera is going all over the place.
Sarah Stone has a very nice second scene, the busty beauty looking very natural working for the camera. It's a couch scene, so the positions are very limited ( as are the camera angles), but it's good otherwise. Sarah has a body just built for reverse cowgirl, and the director takes some pretty good advantage of this. It is, of course, a very nice breast shot to finish.
Eva Angelina is up third, the classy veteran putting in a typical phenomenal showing here. She has that rare combination of an amazing body and total confidence on camera that is so very nice to watch. If you've never seen Eva do reverse cowgirl, you're missing one of the great pleasures in life. But again, like the first scene, the camera is just way too low to capture this as it should be. A real pity. A nice facial in the end, though much of it misses and gets her hair.
Mackenzee Pierce is always worth a mention as well, as the seductive lady does her best to do some sword swallowing right as the scene opens. While all of the action here is quite good, it does have a bit of that going through the motions feel. Mackenzee gets some nice anal in as well, with again the reverse cowgirl being too low. This shouldn't be that hard. With that much anal, of course it's a facial finish, and a bit of a frosty one, too.
And those are just the first four scenes. Scene five opens with Rachel Roxxx and Rachel Starr in full body fishnet stockings, something that really shouldn't be missed. A delicious collection all the way around, and one that, despite some technical imperfections and directorial carelessness, should have more than enough going for it to be worthwhile.
Brunettes: The Darkside delivers what it promises in some of the most seductive dark haired beauties in adult cinema.
