POUND THE ROUND POV 2 is a pretty darn good piece of gonzo video and another fine release from Digital Sin. I enjoyed nearly every minute of it, despite the fact that the action pretty much follows one set formula, and despite the fact that the studio's logo shows up as a watermark in every scene, and despite the fact that only a single male performer (director Mike Adriano) works the mouth, pussy and in some cases, ass, of his talented cast.. It's a point-of-view video in which we see most of the action is captured through Mike's eyes, though we're not given the additional pleasure of experiencing all his tactile sensations.
Each scene takes place under different settings and in different places, beginning with Nikky Thorn who gets all soapy and wet outdoors and by a motorcycle. Then Amy Brooke leads us into a backyard for some more sex in the sunshine, followed by Allie Haze who gets a popsicle smeared all over her butt, which is then licked cleanly inside and out. We retreat indoors after meeting Catalina Taylor, who enjoys playing with her dildo before getting it on with the real thing. And finally, Brooke Lee Adams closes out the movie, and damn near steals the show. Within minutes after meeting her, she strips off some tight gray sweat pants and lifts up her pink top before sitting on Adriano's face. She later crawls toward him for a luscious blowjob, then impales herself on his erection. Again, this is the general procedure in each scene with only a handful of variations, but Miss Adams really stands out thanks to her fresh-faced beauty. Hell, I even overlooked the fact that the cumshot falls straight on her butt instead of her mouth (where it rightfully should have landed).
POUND THE ROUND POV 2 manages to avoid persistent problems common to many point-of-view titles, in which the camera gets in a bit too close to one part of the girls anatomy (guess which part?) and remains static, preventing us from getting a full view of their bodies. Fortunately, Mr. Adriano avoids such mistakes, and gives us enough medium and far shots so that we're not confined to seeing mere flesh. Even during scenes where Nikky Thorn is giving head while on her stomach, viewers are able to see her legs in all their high-heeled glory. Footage of Amy Brooke getting banged in the butt is not just limited to microscopic shots of genitalia making it's way into some anonymous crack. Attention to details such as these really enhance the viewing experience.
A bonus scene featuring Alexis Texas and Mr. Adriano is lifted from PICK-UP CHICKS, a title which I have not yet reviewed, but now have a keen interest in. Miss Texas is 21 years old in this scene, and she exhibits a girl-next-door appearance which is quite alluring. So even if you don't have quite the same appreciation of POUND THE ROUND as I do, Alexis's scene might serve as a satisfactory consolation prize.
To the best of my memory, I have yet to see a recent Digital Sin disc which doesn't meet the higher video and audio standards of the industry, and this DVD is no exception. The lack of any other significant bonuses is a disappointment, but it certainly doesn't make or break the title. The bottom line is that the bottom ends of POUND THE ROUND POV 2 will surely attract those who like their women nice and bouncy.
