I reviewed the third volume of ASS FOR DAYS almost three years ago, and found it be below average when it came to competing hardcore entertainment. After seeing the eighth edition of this title, I'm sort of pleased to announce that the series has improved a bit. Director Sid Knox knows how to deliver good, solid, no-frills sex scenes which arouse but don't necessarily inspire (however, his star-studded TOP SHELF video released in April of 2008 is a notable exception). ASS FOR DAYS may try to appeal to those who like big butts and cannot lie (though other brothers might deny), but the overall result is plain vanilla porn in which plump rumps are featured, but only two performers do anal (specifically Carmella Bing and Emma Heart) and another at least allows a finger in her backdoor (Ashli Orion).
Unsurprisingly, Emma Heart's DP (double penetrated, for those who are in need of a porn glossary) by Jenner and John Strong and Carmella butt-bang fest with Alex Gonz are the two stand-outs among five scenes. However, I admit to being partial to hotties like Avy Scott who is a tall, curvy blonde with bright blue eyes, a sexy smile and just an overall nice personality, Miss Scott pleases David Perry with some hearty oral work before and during the fucking scenes, and the oral cumshot is a worthwhile capper to a solid scene.
Ashli Orion convinces viewers that she's very much into her affair with Pat Myne; she moans, yelps and screams throughout, even when Mr. Myne dumps a load on her spread ass cheeks. Of course, Carmella Bing does good work with Alex Gonz, who leaves a wet white mess on the path to her backdoor, but Miley Ann closes the video in a serviceable but unremarkable scene with Jenner where his fingers approach the outside of her bunghole, but never make their way in. Miley Ann is an obvious newbie in adult (as of the date of this review, she has less than twenty titles on her resume) so there's always time and room for improvement (assuming she doesn't retire by 2011.
I'm so used to the clean and crisp videography of far superior videos from Elegant Angel and Digital Playground, that it feels like slumming to be exposed to the muted colors and flat camera work shot by Gregg Allan. Nevertheless, the video and audio quality of this Diabolic DVD is up to the studio's high standards. The Behind The Scenes featurette is barely worth watching, since it runs less than two minutes long, and focuses only on Ashley Orion and Miley Ann. The Cumshot Recap and Photo Gallery are far more worthwhile, and I almost never watch those. You can find worse videos that ASS FOR DAYS #8 for you private pleasure, but that's not saying much.
