Wicked does some great work with their features, as they manage to not take their drama too seriously (most of the time) and keep their comedy amusing without being immature or vulgar. It seems, though, that many of the films featuring Jessica Drake have an uncomfortable seriousness about them, at least to me.
The Alibi fits in that mold, being kind of uncomfortable periodically.
First, as always, you get some fun trailers from Wicked. On this one we get
Just You & Me and
Mad Love, both of which I have had the pleasure of recently reviewing. They're well worth checking out as well.
One minor complaint off the bat is in the chapter selection menu, as it's just a collection of small videos with numbers rather than listing who stars in each scene. It's a small touch, but the kind of thing that greatly improves the viewing experience.
We open straight away with Jessica Drake getting her pussy licked on a desk, her male co-star only all too willing as most straight men would be. This scene reminds me, too, of how a lot of features that are attempting to appeal to a couples-friendly audience should be, with a relatively gentle, perhaps tame, opening scene that will, odds are, make the uninitiated quite comfortable watching. There aren't too many lingering genital shots, and Jessica is not getting drilled for oil throughout the scene. It's more gentle. Maybe more realistic, but I would think the desk would hurt in that position. Perhaps that's why I'm not a pro. The clothes come off in stages, too, and the mouth shot in the end isn't some monster facial, and Jessica certainly doesn't mind it, so it all seems pretty safe and yet should be just enough for the regular porn watcher to keep interest. That's a tricky balance, but I think they've found it here.
After some plot (watch it yourself), Raylene is working Tommy Gunn's cock with her mouth, showing that skill that made her such a star a little more than a decade ago. I love how she still does that slightly unfocused thing with her eyes whenever she's enjoying herself, reminiscent of her former contemporary Chloe. This is very much an old-school 69 scene, slow, methodical, and it goes for a bit. Again, nothing here that would be intimidating or off-putting. In fact, this is the kind of scene where I could see the couple watching at home trying some of what they're seeing. I mean, come on, the first scene means you aren't even going to try getting into it. But this? On a bed? 69? Anyone can do that! A bit more daring of a facial this time, as it gets her chin, lips, and neck all pretty well. But they don't linger on it in this scene, moving on with the plot rather rapidly.
Jessica's back to work - as it were - in the third scene, taking on the ageless Randy Spears. What is it with her and professional settings? Another work-like scene (we're at the gym this time), another luscious blowjob to start, another time where the guy lustily returns the favour. The reverse cowgirl is particularly nice, another new position for a couple to perhaps try. Another mouth shot in the end, too. I like how that is becoming a kind of standard here, though I never really thought it that controversial. Just a nice touch, and again, they don't linger.
Veronica Rayne gets the next piece of action, and this scene starts to get a little more aggressive, but I mean that more in pace than in action. It's the same sequence as before, though this scene really does remind me what nice breasts Veronica has. Reverse cowgirl really shows this off. Yet another mouth shot in the end.
Jessica gets one last scene in, and it goes basically the same as the others. Thankfully this is one of those films where the plot really doesn't get much in the way of the physical action.
The Alibi is a good flick, though perhaps it doesn't have the variety of talent I like to see (three women seems low for a film) nor maybe exactly what I like to see. Still, a very safe choice for couples or for initiating someone new to porn. You might even get to unload a facial of your own as a result!
