I'll admit straight away that I have no idea what the premise is here. We open with what happened previously, but I just don't see what the name really has to do with anything. And there's something inherently creepy about the combination of the music and the vaguely glamourous look that most of the talent is going for.
Net Skirts, eh? Hmm.
I do like that India Summer could most definitely play Danica Patrick in a film someday. I also like that one of my new favourite starlets, Brooke Lee Adams, will be here as well. I'm also reviewing her in the star-studded
Big Wet Asses 17 in the next day or two (or that's what I'm telling my editor, as I'm way bloody behind in getting some of these reviews in).
So I guess something vaguely sinister is going on here, something akin to fraud or intimidation or some such thing. Really, it just seems to be older women paired with young looking women. We start with Dyanna Lauren and Heather Starlet in the kind of sequence that is just creepy. Kind of forced feeling, and that's never cool when it comes to sex (and it's not the premise between consenting adults). It is definitely very slow, though, very sensual, so it does quite a bit for a non-conventional audience. Sensual, yes. Dyanna takes her time much more than Heather does, as Heather is very aggressive in her pussy licking. One thing I do love about Girlfriends Films, though, is how rarely they resort to using toys, and there is something really very lovely about the scene in later stages, when the original premise is forgotten.
I didn't need the second scene to start with Anita Dark wiping herself after a bathroom visit thank you very much. Eventually she and Jayden Cole have some fun with a format that more or less follows the first scene, though there is a great deal more chemistry between these two. They just look like they're having fun, and that makes it so much better of a scene. Very passionate this one, too, as the ladies do seem to enjoy their time together. Again, full points for the lack of toys in this one, and I congratulate the director and the talent for knowing how to organically work a scene without having to build up to a money shot. That takes some imagination that is missing far too often in most lesbian pornography. Brooke Lee Adams, as always, looks just stunning in her scene with Magdalene St. Michaels. Magdalene just has too stern of a look for my taste, but Brooke is just simply delicious. I've said repeatedly that, if nothing else, I'd like to star in just one scene. Getting that scene to be with Brooke would be tremendous. I'm serious about that, too, as I'm working on some scholarship related to the pornography industry. You have to be a participant-observer, you know? These ladies do seem to know how to work each other quite well, that's for sure, and it's the first time in some time one of these films has repeatedly done it for me. Thanks Brooke!
India Summer and Ryan Keely get the final scene, with yet another very fluid scene. By now I'm starting to forget the first scene really even happened, with its bit of curious hesitancy and slightly predatory nature. These two work perfectly together, though I'm biased because I'm usually happy with scenes with multiple brunettes. This scene also makes it four for four in keeping toys out of the bedroom. They're a porn director's crutch I tell you! Without them is far better.
I've said it multiple times: mainstream pornography directors need to learn how to build scenes that are not center around the act of the male orgasm. Girlfriends Films is showing exactly how to do that with titles like
Net Skirts 2.0. Between this trend and the movement towards more female talent behind the camera, I think the adult industry is poised to move into a more mainstream position, something that would go a long way towards fixing some of the social-sexual issues we have in our culture. I really believe that, though I think in its current format, the industry is geared towards a 90% male audience, as well as some couples. With flicks like
Net Skirts 2.0., perhaps we're being shown how to have more appeal.
