'Seinfeld #2: An XXX Parody is an impressive sequel to the outlandishly successful
Seinfeld: XXX, a parody of the most successful comedy sitcom of all time. Many of the characters from the original long-running television series make their appearances here but the film mostly focuses on the friendly relationship dynamics of Krammer, Gorge, Elaina, and Gerry.
James Deen is phenomenal as Gerry. A competent enough actor to stand on his own performing 'fake' stand-up material in between scenes, Deen is truly at the top of his game in modern adult cinema. His attention to comedic timing is bizarrely accurate and the chemistry between him and Krammer is hilarious. Krammer, brilliantly played by Eric John, is actually funny, which is frankly surprising. Most often porn parody films intersperse terrible dialogue that only slightly resembles the original piece then make way immediately into boring hardcore sex scenes. This is not the case with
Seinfeld XXX 2. The writing here is superb and at a level I have never seen before. The settings are also incredibly spot-on. I would be hard pressed to actually tell the difference between this set and the original set if it weren't missing the infamous Superman. When I turned on the movie my actual first thought was, "Oh my god, how did they get the
Seinfeld set?!" I would be surprised if this film didn't warrant multiple AVN awards based on the amazing casting, writing, and setting. This is attention to detail in extreme. Even the slap-bass opening theme is consistent with the original show.
The plot of this film involves a sort of twist on the original series episode, "The Contest". In the original the friends bet on who can go the longest without masturbating. In the porno version we see them gamble on who can go the longest without fucking. It's an exciting elevation in risk, and true to the original episode, Krammer falls first, fucking the across-the-way neighbor they see undressing from Gerry's apartment. Gorge (Steve Pomerants), the socially-inept and persecution-complex maniac decides to masturbate in his parent's house during a moment of quiet only to be surprised by the housecleaner. Elaina (Kristina Rose), like her NBC counterpart, finds some eye candy at the gym that she struggles not to fuck immediately, but this time she wants it anally. We also get a chance to watch Gorge experience the infamous 'sponge bath' scene again, only this time it's a lot more deep-dicking and a lot less silhouette sponge-bathing.
I was surprised by how hot the sex was in this film. The sexual counterparts to our selfish group are incredibly hot and there is even a nice and dirty lesbian scene right near the end of the film. Elaina takes a nice fat cock in her asshole and Krammer's scene with the nude neighbor is actually arousing. Though the comedy scenes are long, the sexual aspect of this film is enough to make up for it.
The extras for this film are excellent. There is an iPod friendly version of the entire film, the usual popshot recap and movie trailers, a bonus scene with Gracie Glam and my favorites- behind the scenes footage and outtakes.
All in all I would say that this film takes a huge success and builds upon it and it does it in a very positive way. Before, if I were told there was a sequel to a
Seinfeld porn parody film, I would have dismissed it immediately, but after seeing this I was extremely happy to have the chance to review it, and I welcome a third film with open arms. I almost wish this were the actual sitcom.
