While the individual volumes don't necessarily have the same erotic and emotional effect of Vivid's classic THE MASSEUSE starring Hyapatia Lee, or as the remake starring Jenna Jameson, collectively, this series from Digital Playground easily delivers as much sexual entertainment. It's a soap operatic series filled with hot bodies, happy endings and enough drama to link up one part to the next. Naturally, THE MASSEUSE series has nothing to do with any similarly titled blue movies, so those expecting weighty drama and kink will instead find nothing too heavy going on (no heavy love triangles, suicides, and other such matters which may get in the way of one's wanking ways).
It is my understanding that this fourth volume will be the last of the series. If so, then bringing back the forever dependable and forever watchable Riley Steele for two scenes (first with James Deen, and then a finale with Everhard and Scott Nails) was a winning idea. Her appearance in the first MASSEUSE was an easy highlight in the first video, which was already filled with remarkable talents like Francesca Le and Kayla Paige. She is even better in this third sequel, and the main reason why this film gets a top rating. Of course, I've seen this blonde, blue-eyed goddess share scenes with each these guys many, many times before such as in ROOMMATES and STRICT MACHINE, yet I've never grown tired of seeing her in action. Despite her rather limited output, Riley easily joins the ranks of my personal favorites, which include Leena, Francesca Le, Lauren Hall, Taylor Rain, Jenna Haze and Tori Black. That's pretty lofty company for a girl who not even performed in fifty titles!
As for the others, Jessica Bankok's opening number with Eric Masterson is fine, but I've never cared for his presence in any video. He's one of those studs whose appeal simply eludes me (and not just because I'm a guy). Sexy Charley Chase delivers a much more arousing scene when paired with Charles Deara, and blonde beauty Monique Alexander can always induce a good stiffie, especially when paired with a dependable woodsman like Scott Nails. While all girls take facials, there is nothing more than good, old-fashioned straight sex going on (I really wanted to see some kind of girl-girl action, but it never happens), so those who want more daring and danger in their porn had better look elsewhere. I can easily accept lighter hardcore proceedings when the beauty is this good (which is why I remain a devotee of Andrew Blake, despite protests from my more raincoat-oriented colleagues), and Miss Steele remains a sight to behold.
I can't think of a better combination in adult that having a Blu-ray and DVD package for such an extremely reasonable price. I think of the DVD as the ultimate bonus feature, even though Digital Playground does provide a quickie Behind The Scenes segment and the usual stuff like trailers and still pictures. There may come a time when Blu-ray players are more portable and commonplace in cars, hotels and so forth, but for now, having both formats conveniently available is truly the best of both worlds. It's easy to just pop in the standard DVD whenever you want an erotic thrill, but I urge those to really look at the Blu-ray for the best in picture and sound. You're cheating yourself if you aren't seeing these Digital Playground playmates in true high definition.
