Although this series had already begun to lose focus and steam by the time BC 3 rolled around (by the way, there is no DVD called BONNIE AND CLYDE 2: the first two films were edited into a director's cut and released on a single DVD called, simply enough, BONNIE AND CLYDE), the irresitable image of Racquel Darrian and her supermodel-ish great looks topping off her amazing body is reason enough to take a long, hard look at this Paul Thomas film.
Truth be told, this movie is actually the sequel to BC 3, which has nothing to do story-wise with the first Ashlyn Gere/Racquel Darrian epic. Both parts three and four comprise a self-contained yarn mainly involving Racquel's husband (played by Amber Lynn's brother Buck Adams) and his personal conflicts over her movie career (not to mention the fact that he doesn't get into her pants at all in these videos!). Admittedly, pornos shouldn't require their own set of Cliffs notes to understand just what the hell is going on, but Vivid Video seems to enjoy "challenging" their viewers (just witness their line of interactive games). My sound advice is to ignore the everything else and just concentrate on the heavenly bodies bending over and kneeling down to satisfy your every vicarious sexual fantasy.
Co-star Isis Nile actually gets the lioness' share of the sex scenes: first with Buck Adams, and then in a threesome with Tony Tedeschi (fresh from a threeway with Asia Carrera and Tara Monroe) and Steven St. Croix. Although she has generally been a good performer, Isis does some memorable work here, and all three guys do what they can to satisfy this sexy brunette. Isis has the kind of dark, exotic good looks which provide a perfect antidote to the beach-bum blondes populating today's porn, even though brunettes far outweigh golden-haired girls in this video (Racquel's occasional use of a platinum blonde wig notwithstanding).
The star of the movie, Racquel Darrian, looks simply amazing here, and she astonishes strutting her stuff in a plaid skirt and tight white shirt which predates Britney Spears by almost ten years. Whether she's performing a striptease for real-life husband Derrick Lane, or just crossing her fabulous legs when she sits at stool, you can't help but stare (and weep with joy) at this incredible piece of perfection who bares her soul for our viewing pleasure. To quote Homer Simpsons when it comes to adult entertainment, "oh, lord, the gods have been good to me...
However, I have to say that this isn't the hottest scene starring Native American/Irish beauty. Indeed, although she teases in a bunch of scenes preceding her threesome with Derrick and Dyanna Lauren, there just isn't enough of her to go around as she is wasted (not as in inebriated) in too many overly-dramatic dialogue scenes. In other words, there is too much talk, and not enough action. Her work with Derrick is no better than prior couplings between the, umm...couple, and disappointingly, the presence of Ms. Lauren fails to raise the heat above simmering level. Opportunities for double-team blowjobs, extended girl-girl kissing, and cum-swapping (I know, I know: this is Vivid not Anabolic!) are simply neglected or ignored as Dyanna never gets closer than arm's length to Mr. Racquel Darrian. For far superior work from Ms. Darrian, viewers should take a look at NIGHT TRIPS 2 and even the last two BONNIE AND CLYDE discs, which are well worth their retail price for her alone.
By far, the best scene comes courtesy of Asia Carrera and Tara Monroe, both of whom contributed a fabulous lesbian threesome with the film's star in BC 3, who know hot to take things nice and slow when it comes to sapphic loving. They are then joined, pizza delivery boy-style, by Tony Tedeschi who clearly just can't wake to get his dick wet by these two beauties. Tara is a fiery red-head who is greatly overlooked when it comes to top-notch sex kittens, despite being the real life sister of Tami Monroe (who shared a scene with Lauren Hall in NIGHT TRIPS 2). And of course, Asia Carrera needs no introduction other than she looks great no matter whether she is making out with Tami, or getting banged by Tony. Both girls welcome an oral facial which they share with a quick, but very arousing, kiss ending what is definitely the best scene in this whole seventy-five minute flick.
The grainy video looks just about the same as it did in the last movie, but still beats the heck out of magnetic tape. The colors are a lot bolder and more accurate, when compared to my original video copy. Audio is generally very good, as it sound like Vivid added a new music soundtrack to the existing images. Unlike part three, this disc requires you to flip the disc to access the bonus scenes (of which there are fifteen clips). Speaking of which on the "XXXtras" chapter of this DVD, Vivid gives us a truncated version of the very same Tara Monroe/Asia Carrera/Tony Tedeschi threesome found in the main feature! Sheesh...
When you consider the star-power that has appeared in these three videos (Nikki Dial, Ashlyn Gere, Alex Jordan, Francesca Le, Dyanna Lauren, Asia Carrera, Tara Monroe...), I can't think of a reason why one shouldn't get this pseudo-trilogy (actually, a tetralogy if you consider part two...) . For those who enjoyed the original BONNIE AND CLYDE (by Paul Thomas, not by Arthur Penn), and for others who were enamored by Racquel Darrian in BONNIE AND CLYDE 3, this movie is a fitting end to a series which is sweet on the eye-candy and equally sweet on the hardcore lovin'.
