Some of my favorite series of late have come from Hustler.

The visuals and lighting were, of course, excellent, as was the video transfer to DVD. The dubbing of the voices, however, was the only weak point in the entire movie, as it tended to make the sound go flat -- which was in stark contrast to the richness of the scenery. This didn't affect the quality of the love scenes much (since many sex scenes today, even in English language movies, are dubbed). But it might have been interesting to watch this movie in its original language (which, unfortunately, wasn't an option) with English subtitles instead.
In short, if you're looking for a nice change of pace from the overly blonde porno fare available in America today, you'd be doing yourself a favor to check out Pierre Woodman's
