Taboo II isn't as good as the original
Taboo, but it is a whole lot more kinkier, believe it or not. Kay Parker, whose character was the star of the first film, plays only a minor role in this one, but rest assured we get to see Kay in action again...only this time it's not with a family member.
Taboo II opens with a young couple driving down the street. We can't see their faces yet, but we can see the guy trying to grope the woman he is sitting next to. As the camera pulls back, we discover that the girl is actually Dorothy LeMay from the first
Taboo movie, who played Mike Ranger's (Kay Parker's son in the film) girlfriend. But she's not driving with Mike...she's driving with Kevin James (no, not the "King of Queens"!) who happens to be...her brother!
The two stop in a small store to pick up a card for their father's (Eric Edwards) birthday, and they are surprised to find Kay working there. Kay remembers Dorothy and finds herself attracted to Kevin. Kevin too, is smitten by Kay and asks if he can return some tools that Mike let him borrow before he left town. Later than evening, Kay is getting a massage from her old friend (played by Juliet Anderson, who was also in the first
Taboo film) when Kevin comes to the door. Juliet starts to seduce him and convinces him to make out with Kay. So both girls have a little fun with Kevin, but it's Kay who actually sucks and fucks him - reminding her all along of the passionate tryst she had with her son in the first film.
The story shifts gears at this point away from Kay and into the household of Kevin and Dorothy. Kevin keeps trying to get into his sister's pants, and he finally figures out a way to get what he wants. He has his girlfriend (played by Bambi) seduce her and go down on her...only to dive in there with his own tongue once Dorothy is properly turned on.
After they have sex for the first time, Kevin and Dorothy can't keep their hands off each other, and eventually they are caught (in action, no less!) by their mother (played by Honey Wilder). Honey spends all day hitting the vodka and wondering what she is going to say to her husband that night, but her husband is banging his secretary at work (unfortunately, we never get to see him do it) and doesn't come home that evening. Kevin does come home, and manages to take advantage of his mother in her drunken state (although she does her own share of seducing as well!).
To top things off, Dorothy does her own bit of seducing the next day when her father comes home, and sneaks into the bedroom to blow and screw him...all while her mother is sleeping on the other side of the bed! At the end of the film, both mother and father have found a new lust for one another, but both agree not to tell the other what events made them turn into such sexual animals.
Like the recent release of the original
Taboo movie, Odyssey has done a great job of transferring the original film onto DVD. The only flaws in the print are obviously from the original and the audio, while not outstanding, is clear and properly balanced.
My only complaints with this DVD is that it is advertised as a "Special Collector's Edition", yet the only bonus on the DVD is the trailer for the original
Taboo (not
Taboo II) - which was already on the
Taboo: Collector's Edition disc! The first movie had a director's commentary and interview with Kay Parker on it, but the only extras here are the one trailer and a slide show.
The good news, however, is that as far as I can tell, no footage was cut from the original version of the film. So fans will be getting the complete movie in a format that makes it look better than it ever has before on home video. And for that reason alone,
Taboo II is worth adding to your adult collection.
