Customers who purchase "Deep Inside Chasey Lain" can be guaranteed a good purchase for two reasons: Chasey Lain is in every single scene, and the compilation is from Vivid Interactive. Vivid does a nice job with their DVDs and this is a good example of why a compilation like this is so much better on DVD than on video. One of the things that always bothered me about buying four-hour compilations on video was that you had to guess and waste valuable time trying to find your favorite scene. With the wonderful invention of the DVD, we can jump right to our favorite scene and enjoy some fine extra features, as well.
The only way Vivid could make these compilations any better is if they could get the stars that are featured to do commentary on the scenes. It would be nice to get perspective on the experiences had with so many legendary porn stars. In choosing this compilation you are either already a fan of Chasey Lain or you like what you see or have heard about Chasey Lain and want more. Either way, you are not likely to be disappointed as this disc contains hours of Chasey's best work for Vivid and is a nice collection for people who just want the hot sex and no story.
There is a wide variety of hot sex on this disc with Chasey having steamy encounters with everyone from Jill Kelly, Jeanna Fine, Melanie Stone and Sindee Coxx to male porn superstars Tom Byron, Vince Vouyer, Marc Wallice and Rocco Siffredi. Chasey displays her gorgeous body and limber athletics and energy in every scene. There is no filler on this disc and every scene is pretty great. It is a very couples friendly collection, but chances are it will be more likely scooped up by Chasey's fans.
The scenes are sectioned off into three parts: "Awesome Chasey" displays a wide range of co-stars and sexual dynamics especially great is chapter nine where Chasey does an incredible flip that had me rewinding; "Right in the mouth" captures the tail-end of some great scenes and ends with oral action for fans of "blow jobs" and "money shots"; and "Club Chasey" includes three chapters which display Chasey in exotic dancer mode, stripping and moving like a wild animal.
Fans of Chasey Lain already know her to be a fantastic performer and know that her spirited and aerobic sexual escapades are not to be missed. She is a unique and beautiful talent and every bit the star that Vivid recognizes her to be by releasing this disc. Particularly good are the first couple of scenes. The first with Tom Byron is laugh out loud funny when it comes to Tom Byron's mid-nineties long-haired, biker look, and the following scene with Rocco proves who is the real "Italian Stallion".
There is a sincerity and naturalness to Chasey Lain's performances that makes this DVD a keeper. She seems to enjoy herself and is a lot of fun to watch. The scenes have an innocence that seems lost in today's market of rough and tumble and gonzo filled product. It reminded me of how nice it was to pick out an adult movie and not have to see a beautiful woman getting choked, slapped or spit on like we see so much of in today's market. Vivid reminds us with this collection why they are a class act and still on top after so many years.
The extras include previews, including the very good "Budapest Diary," "Vivid Raw #2," and "Femme 2," to name a few. There is also web information and a nice slide show. Audio and video quality varies from scene to scene, but is good overall. There is some noticeable quality loss from the scenes transferred from old looking video, but those too are not bad.
Overall, I would say this is a nice DVD for collectors who may have missed Chasey's features or just want a nice collection of her best work for Vivid. Chasey Lain is extremely easy on the eyes and she does it all. Fan or first-timer, this DVD has something for everyone.
