The best news that comes with this "Brand New" (get it?) release from Red Light District is that they've apparently done away with the annoying on-screen menu during the actual movie that allowed you to jump to your favorite fetish. As a viewer, I found this to be a little annoying since you couldn't turn the menu off, and it played havoc with the fast forward and rewind capabilities of my particular player.
The bad news, at least for die-hard Red Light fans who want to see the hardest of hardcore in their titles, is that the company has actually reigned things in a bit for
Brand New. The girls are just as cute as ever, but there's no anal and no double penetration in the entire movie. This one can almost be classified as "Red Light Light", but it's also a very good one to pick up if you're interested in the company, but concerned that their releases may be a little too hardcore for you.
The title starts off with box cover girl Boo Dilicious, who I had just seen a few days ago in the excellent Evil Angel release,
Service Animals 12. This is her first scene for Red Light and her third adult scene overall. Boo is a dark-haired cutie who has a lot of the same qualities (if not looks) that ex-Vivid Girl Cassidey had when she first came into porn. Here, she's teamed up with Brett Rockman and Brian Surewood, who fuck her in all the standard positions before giving her a pair of facials. Boo spits most of what winds up in her mouth out - but she's still an energetic performer who is fun to watch in action.
Next up is Diana, the half Persian/half Norwegian beauty who graced the cover of Red Light's
Breakin' Em In 3. Diana is indeed sexy-looking, but I didn't care for her attitude the first time I saw her in action, and it's not much better here. Perhaps she simply doesn't have a firm grasp on English yet, but she comes off as a bit self-centered every time I see her interviewed. That's not to say, however, that she isn't enjoyable to watch get screwed - as both director Vince Voyeur and Mr. Pete take turns with her in this segment.
One of the cutest girls in
Brand New is 18-year-old black talent Bambi Bliss, who was also in Red Light's
Throat Gaggers 3. She has a 36D all-natural chest and a very cute face. Joel Lawrence is the lucky guy who gets to pair with Bambi in this scene, and Bambi scores points with this reviewer by not only taking Joel's load in her mouth, but swallowing it down!
A girl named Melody appears in Brand New's fourth scene - one in which she is teamed with Brian Surewood and Mr. Pete. Melody is 18-years-old and claims this is her first scene ever with two guys. The best part of this sequence is toward the end, when Melody is on her back on the floor with her legs lifted high so the guys can give it to her missionary style and then squirt their loads on her face. Melody seems less than happy about the way their cum is sprayed on her, so that takes a little away from the climax...but not enough that most viewers wouldn't enjoy this scene.
Another young black girl named Adriana Demarco appears in
Brand New's next to last scene. She's not as cute as Bambi Bliss, but she does claim this is her first time ever with a white guy, which kind of adds to the appeal of watching her in action. She's teamed with Brett Rockman - who immediately makes a mistake by calling her "Amanda"! The two work out their problems, however, and the overall scene is fairly hot, although Adriana spits out the facial at the conclusion...something that any good raincoater doesn't want to see in his (or her) porn.
Although Boo Dilicious is quite attractive and deserving of getting the box cover for this movie, my favorite performer appears in
Brand New's final scene - a very hot girl named Sativa, who has also popped up in titles like
The Jack Napier Show 2. She's a 20-year-old from California, and I think she's the other girl in
Brand New (other than Boo) that could have a real future in the adult industry if she chooses to do so. She gets her hands on both Brian Pumper and Brett Rockman in her scene on this title - and it's easily the most sexually energetic scene on the entire DVD. For the record, Sativa swallows the cum that lands in her mouth from both guys in this segement!
The bonus features on this DVD include some "Boner Footage" with a blonde named Jesse (who is really cute!); a 10-minute behind the scenes featurette; a photo gallery and 20 trailers for other Red Light titles. Both the video and audio are top-notch on this disc, and there were no noticeable glitches in either.
As I said in the outset of this review - from what we're used to getting from Red Light District, this is kind of a mild DVD, sexually speaking. But it does feature some very attractive performers and may turn out to have a broader appeal than some of their other releases, due to the fact that there is no anal, DPs or particularly "rough" sex.
