Even though this series has had its ups and downs to go along with its in and outs, Randy West's UP AND CUMMERS is still one of the best of its kind. Whatever one may think of the middle-aged host, or the monotonously routine execution, UP AND CUMMERS still features the hottest budding babes around, and the sex always ranges from average to excellent. Sure, viewers may be a little tired of the rambling commentary by our host as he introduces each chick, and yes, looking at that same old overused couch and bedroom can get a little boring, but that is one of the unintended visual trademarks of the series. (Besides, Randy has never claimed to be the next Andrew Blake or John Stagliano.)
And let's give credit where credit is due: Mr. West has literally been screwing around the adult industry since the seventies, yet he still has enough stamina and wherewithal to put out dependable hardcore. (See "Wild, Wild West" in the Editorial Archives and "Cumming Up: Taylor Moore!" for more info on the godfather of pro-amateur porn.) I've been following UP AND CUMMERS since Roxanne Blaze made her dazzling initial appearance in #1, and although I haven't viewed every volume, nor have I been always pleased with those many editions I have seen, I still look forward to what the series has to offer.
Yet, strangely enough and despite its legacy, UP AND CUMMERS #100 isn't the spectacular centennial celebration one might expect. With a distinctive lack of anals, multi-partnered sex scenes, and just overall nastiness, it's pretty clear that there was a lack of special planning for this hundredth edition. Like #50 (which is only distinguished by the concluding threesome involving Randy and twins Marika and Dominia which began in #49), we get a slightly above-average outing featuring several very hot pieces of ass, but that's really about it as far as the main content is concerned. As a bonus, this DVD includes an incomplete Tera Patrick scene from #80 and a truncated Jenna Jameson segment from #11 (undoubtedly, two of the biggest stars ever to appear in this series), both of which are highlighted by some hard doggy pounding. But if you're any kind of fan of UP AND CUMMERS, then you probably already have these two scenes in your collection. In all fairness, it should be noted that Randy West apparently has no rights or control over the digital presentation of the UP AND CUMMERS line. Though he resides with Evil Angel, the DVDs of his work have been issued under the New Machine label, which may be the party responsible for this less-than-stellar anniversary presentation. Who knows?
The video opens up with a titillating introduction to Sunrise Adams, who just happens to be the niece of the equally cute Sunset Adams (star of the double feature release SEX and SEX 2: FATE from VCA). At first glance, this petite, blue-eyed Texas blonde looks like just another beautiful, BARELY LEGAL candidate. But her relaxed confidence and sensational, all-natural body (barely covered in a Britney Spears-ish plaid skirt and white top) will have you caught under her spell within the first two minutes. The ever considerate Mr. West, however, lets Lee Stone have his way with her, in a just "pretty good" fuck and suck (all the standard positions are assumed, though anal is entirely absent). Their otherwise hot encounter ends disappointingly with an internal cumshot. (A facial would have been far more exciting and far more appropriate for this occasion). Though Miss Adams has been around for at least a couple of years, this is my first exposure to her work and I've definitely become an instant fan.
Exotic cutie August, has the sexy librarian look and demeanor down cold. Her short, dark hair, bright smile and glasses also convey a girlish demeanor, which comes through even during her scenes of naked lust. Her oral work isn't as technically polished as the average pornstar, but she puts on a good, slow show. Again, however, the money shot is strictly internal, which might be good for the next "cream pie" compilation we get from Mr. West (like PLEASE! CUM INSIDE ME), but to me, diminishes the erotic value of this fairly hot coupling.
Yet another young blonde hottie in the form of Margo appears in the following segment. After a few introductory poses, Julian enters the scene and seduces this slender 20-year-old, who is charmingly hesitant and even appears a bit nervous. She even seems genuinely surprised by Julian's hefty size (poor bastard must be sick of seeing the girls' stunned reactions whenever they pull off his pants), but proceeds to chow down on it anyway. Throughout their little encounter, Margo is almost delicately reserved, but no less fun to watch. She's like a virgin being touched for the very first time. The scene ends with Julian pretty much whacking himself off into Margo's mouth, and she willingly swallows his load without any prompting at all. (I fell in love with this golden-haired cutie immediately afterwards!). If there's any reason to pick up this video, Margo is it. (By the way, if you really want to see this girl in even nastier, and more carnal action, look no further than her terrific scene with Autumn Haze and Mark Ashley in the CUM SWAPPING SLUTS #1.)
The video concludes with an interracial affair between our host, and the lovely Lacey Duvall, who is the most aggressive girl of the bunch and the most orgasmically arousing. Poor Randy apparently has to take breaks in between executing the ol' in-and-out just to keep up with her. In fact, for the last few minutes, he simply lets Lacey masturbate for a while, until he's ready to splooge on her tongue. It's not a great ending, but it's still a facial nonetheless.
The extras are as pretty barebones. Even after a hundred videos, New Machine only serves up a couple of random and sloppily assembled trailers, a nondescript Picture Gallery, and a few other minor promotional items. Video quality is generally good, with a bright, but slightly washed-out picture that's definitely better than videotape, but not even close to digital reference quality. Still, New Machine has come a long way in the production of their DVDs. Compare, for instance, the rather distorted and fuzzy picture we get in the aforementioned UP AND CUMMERS #1 (which, incidentally, is still a far more erotic video), and you'll see that the differences are like night and day. Audio quality, though monophonic and occasionally screechy, is also acceptable.
What can one say about one of the most popular pro-amateur titles which has now hit the three digit mark? As long as Mr. West can still get it up and stick it into his fresh young talents, I guess there's no reason not to look forward to another hundred editions of UP AND CUMMERS.
