Commentary: Country Comfort may just have upstaged my old favorite "Dinner Party" as
the ultimate couples film. Filled with beautiful women, flawless camera work and a well acted
plot, it's the ideal film to watch together. It's also a wonderful introduction for the fairer sex
to the wonderful world of porn. Not for the hard-core porno fan by any means, it's the type
of easy going sexy film that is best viewed in pairs with some fine wine.
The plot tells of a working farm that is headed by veteran Herschel Savage. His bevy of
three wives, Devon, Summers and Ashton, is complimented by housemaid Phyllisha Ann.
Raquel Devine also makes an appearance as a casual screw for Savage.
Julian shows up on the scene as a drifter looking for somewhere to rest his weary head.
(He must get tired carrying around that huge cock all day). Savage takes him in, and the fun
starts. Unbeknownst to Julian, he's actually being recruited to take some of the strain of
Savage's dick, as being a bit older, his three young beauties are tiring him out. It appears he
does little but screw these lovelies, and wouldn't you? As a bit of a side note here, it does
appear that these folks did ay too much screwing filming this flick as often times the guys
have a hard time cumming, and the loads are quite minuscule.
Now Julian appears to have made a nice choice of where to crash because the first thing
he sees is Devon and Bobby Vitale screwing in the woods just outside the property. Vitale
lingers for a long time on the finely trimmed quim of Devon while also savoring her fine butt
hole. She's looking extremely sexy here and is very vocal while she's being eaten. Devon
then takes Vitale and gives him the customary blow job before they screwing a variety of
positions. Bobby finishes off by jerking himself off onto Devon's tits. He takes a looooong
time to finally bust that nut! Me? I'd have been done before I started.
Julian is led into the upstairs bedroom with Devon after he's had a bit of dinner, and I
was anticipating a fine porking session, but was disappointed to see the two only briefly
make out. Devon leaves, but stops long enough on the stairs to take care of her own needs.
Pay close attention to the tight shots because that's about as close as you and I are ever
going to get to that delicious pussy!
Meanwhile, downstairs, Savage is being attended to by wives #2 and #3, Summers and
Ashton. The three have a really well shot threesome that features some g-g action, as well
as some very unique positions. I especially enjoyed the scene where Savage is doing Gwen
and Halli is playing with herself on the couch. She spreads her lips ultra wide and gives you a
great shot of a very wet, very tasty hole.
A bit of the plot seems to be missing at this point, as we catch up with Julian and
Phyllisha Ann in the garden. She refers to a conversation they had about how the farm came
to be, but it didn't ring a bell with me. Perhaps some of that infamous Vivid shortening?
Anyway, the two have a simply awesome scene in which Ann devours Julian's ample root.
She's a wee bit of a thing, and he appears to dwarf her face with his weed whacker. The
tight shots are again wonderful (Parfait strikes again), especially when Julian is going down
on Phyll. The pair engages in some standard screwing, and Julian blows his load on her butt.
As the disc continues, savage and Devine are shown attacking each other outside before
moving to the more comfy confines of a couch. Savage works her muff expertly and she
returns the favor. when Savage cums, the two smear it over her belly and boobs as if she
were a bagel and he, cream cheese.
The finale features the wives taking on their newly found cockswain Julian. Plenty of
intermingled tongues and titties will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, and probably
a bit moist as well.
From a DVD perspective: Shot on film, this is really a very nice looking piece of work. The
colors are flawless, and the images very clear. A bit of scratching on the original mars the
overall quality a bit, but nonetheless, this was a fine transfer.
The sound could have been a bit better as I strained to hear dialog occasionally, and
during the sex, I found myself adjusting the volume down. Standard 2 channel stereo.
Extras? Vivid's trademark best.
Intangibles: Very nice couples fare. I'd highly recommend this one for anyone interested in
the softer side of porn. even though I'm not a huge fan of the couples friendly genre, this
one really did something for me, and I'm handing it a ruler!

Country Comfort marks the first starring role for Vivid girl Devon, the kind of girl you don't see often in adult movies. She is a young, blonde, beautiful girl who could probably make it in mainstream Hollywood films. This role is a really nice one for her to show off her talent, and believe me, she has some.
The film opens with Julian taking a walk down a road when he spots Devon and Bobby Vitale in a nice little scene, and he stops and watches for a moment. This first scene doesn't offer anything that special, as far as adult films go, but the camera angles on Devon and Bobby make it worth the watch.
Next we see Julian walking up to the house of Herschel Savege. He asks Julian to come inside for some food, which he accepts. We also meet Gwen Summers and Halli Aston, who we later find out make up two of his three wives (with Devon being the third). During dinner Herschel offers Julian and job as caretaker of the farm, but his real duties are revealed at the end of the film. Devon leads Julian up to his room, and what follows is a tease between the two that doesn't payoff. However, we are treated to a nice little Devon masturbation scene that, unfortunately, is a bit too short.
The real payoff comes downstairs as Herschel, Gwen, and Halli have a nice little three-way. As far as three-ways go, I have to say this was one of the best I have seen in an adult film.
We then move on to the next day with Julian and the maid, Phyllisha Anne. We see a nice scene that concludes with Julian's load on Phyllisha's ass.
The next scene is one that puzzles me a little, because it would appear that something is missing. What follows is a scene between Herschel and Raquel Devine. I have no complaints about the sex, which is really great, and listening to Raquel squeal was enough to get me off. My complaint is that I think this scene is supposed to be a flashback, but it's not preceded by any narration, and begins by Phyllisha finishing a story to Julian that she never started. Unless I'm missing something, I think a scene was cut from the movie that would explain all this.
We move right along to the final orgy between Julian, Devon, Gwen and Halli. This scene was really beautifully done, and contains a great shot in which Julian is working on Devon doggie, while she eats Gwen, and Halli is in the background working with a dildo. My only complaint with this scene comes with the multi-angles; they don't seem to match up as well as the previous sex scenes.
This is a great film directed by Cleo Edwards, and in a time of anal-filled fuck-fest films, it offers something that is - dare I say - tame. But it's refreshing to see it, and even though the plot can be thin at times, it's a really great film with a "classic" feel to it.
