Why these luscious women need virtual reality when they could just as easily have each other, not to mention any random man who walks by, will have to be left as an exercise to the viewer.

It could have been a kick-ass closer if given a little space to breathe.
As with all of Andrew Blake's productions, there is no dialogue, only tasteful soundtrack music. Add a big helping of girl/girl and solo action and generous dollops of visual style and polish, and the result is another classy yet steamy feature bearing Blake's unique arty stamp.

Les Femmes Erotiques continues along the path Andrew Blake had set out for himself in the early nineties with productions like
Hidden Obsessions and
Sensual Exposure. Among the necessary ingredients for this 1993 film are a dozen or so sex scenes, the slightest of thematic links, outrageous wardrobes and, of course, a score of beautiful women of all sorts and sizes.
At the core of the thematic link are Julia Ann, Dahlia Grey and Raven, three leather-clad girls living out their fondest fantasies through virtual reality equipment and other sex toys. The first of their virtual fantasies involves an amazing threesome, where P.J. Sparxx and Marc Wallice are joined halfway by Raven, whose dark features make for a powerful contrast with blonde P.J. Their nicely choreographed encounter balances out very well, Raven being the one to be on the receiving end of Marc's well-deserved orgasm. With Julia Ann still hooked up to the VR goggles, she moves onto a fantasy about Deborah Wells in a see-through top, followed by some lesbian romance featuring Raven and Dahlia in a decadent twenties setting.
It's Dahlia's turn, engaging in an outdoors fantasy about Julia Ann and Aaron Colt. Especially Julia Ann looks heavenly, her large breasts spilling out of her bra and her majestic curves on display as Aaron rides her from behind, resulting in a lovely facial. Other than a chapter index and a number of trailers for other Blake productions, the disc has no extras, which unfortunately seems to have become the norm for these releases of the older material. However, there is more than enough going on in the almost two hours of the main feature, which truly has something for everybody. With all the different types of fetish kept to a minimum and the bondage and domination all but completely absent, this may even be one of the more mainstream productions Blake has ever shot (although the then-common Blake theme of switched identities may be a bit too weird for some). Therefore, it is as perfect for couples as it is for a night of solo pleasure, all the girls tickling all the right fantasy bones.
Les Femmes Erotiques is what was once considered the typical Andrew Blake movie. It has everything from softcore to hardcore, all shot in very exotic locations and with only the finest of clothes. Really, the only aspect that makes this show its age is the amount of pubic hair on the girls, which, in its own way, makes the complete package even more perfectly retro.
