A great movie to get you both in the mood. It has a little bit of everything! A great film to watch with your lover. Lots of very erotic scenes filled with beautiful ladies and gents. Asia is my favorite actress. She is such a beautiful woman who has a great screen presence.

As always, the soundtrack music sets the mood in this film and it is perfect. Don't pass this one up. Movie trailers were also a big plus.

This is a great movie to arouse the senses. It is truly a work of art. It has some of everything - an excellent movie to watch with your better half when you are trying to set the mood. It is filled with beautiful women, handsome men and very erotic scenes. I can hardly wait to view Dinner Party 2 and 3!

This movie and its sequel are two of the best for what they have done for my sex life. First, if you want your wife to watch with you, it is really classy and it has somewhat of a conceptual theory that isn't too contrived. Second, there is nice soft music playing in the background of the sex scenes. Not some heavy cheesy music and not the heavy fake grunting and groaning. These were the first two movies my wife sat through. Last, and best of all, my wife admitted all her fantasies after watching...interracial, girl/girl and multi-partner! I wish there were more of these types of videos.

This is a beatiful, highly erotic 1994 Cameron Grant
film. It is suitable for couples but includes some
extremely hot scenes. There is an absolutely scorching
anal scene between Vanessa Chase (remember her?) and
Steve Drake. Strong men will weep. If that scene
doesn't get your rocks off, you're beyond jaded, you may be
deceased. There's also a great scene with Asia Carrera and
Gerry Pike (remember him?). The gorgeous Celeste, a
Cameron Grant favorite, is featured prominently.
It also stars Catalina and Kaylan Nicole, with appearances by
Yvonne, Misty Rain, Debi Diamond, Juli Ashton, Tammy Parks,
and . . . Jenna Jameson, although Jenna is billed under a
different name.

The content is outstanding. The technical aspects
of the disc are not good. From a video standpoint,
the DVD is marginally better than a tape. The big
disappointment was the sound. You expect the video
quality of DVD to be better than a tape, but you expect
DVD sound to be much, much better than a tape. For
the first half of the disc, I kept thinking how bad the
sound was, but I thought it was just poorly
mixed, with much too much bass and not enough treble.
Finally, 5 1/2 scenes into a ten scene movie, the
treble ranges kicked in, and the movie sounded terrific
for the last 4 1/2 scenes. This may have been a
manufacturing defect, and possibly even unique to my disc,
but I doubt it.

Another disappointment is that there were essentially
no extras. A static 10 scene menu and one trailer
for Dinner Party II: The Buffet, which as the previous
reviewer noted, is an inferior sequel not directed by
Cameron Grant.

Its a great movie, just bad technical problems. If
Ultimate could work out the tech end of it, I would
love to see them bring out Grant's "Fantasy Chamber"
and "Elements of Desire" on DVD.

One of my favorite works of erotic "art," The Dinner Party deserves a much better transfer and production than this DVD. With no inner booklet liner notes [not even a cheap promotional flyer], the DVD is no better than the original videocassette tape. The picture is littered with scratches, drop-outs and image artifacts galore...one wonders if this disc was transferred into MMPEG-1 as opposed to MMPEG-2. To add insult to injury, the extras consist of a trailer which is actually the preview for Dinner Party 2, an inferior sequel to the original masterpiece. I was dumbstruck by how bad this disc looked. Ultimate had better get its act together before they release the rest of their catalogue for a gullible DVD buying public, which unfortunately for this release, included myself.
