Director Jules Jordan returns with his eighth volume of his popular
Flesh Hunter series, and while this one is certainly enjoyable to watch, it doesn't quite match the top-notch fun we've seen in previous editions.
I think one of the problems here is that viewers get too much of a good thing. The movie clocks in at just over four hours - which sounds like you get a lot of action...and you do...but with only seven sex scenes what
Flesh Hunter 8 really needs is an editor. Trim these scenes down to about 20 minutes each and they sizzle instead of gradually wearing out their welcome.
Flesh Hunter 8 kicks off with blondes Alexis Malone and Kylie Wild, who join Kurt Lockwood in a bedroom for a threesome. As the scene begins, Alexis is in a black latex catsuit with a strap-on dildo already attached. Kylie is handcuffed to the bed as Alexis enters, but the cuffs don't remain on for two long. I actually think this scene might have been more fun if it was just a lesbian one - since the hottest material in the scene is when Alexis is fucking Kylie with the strap-on. Still, it's nice to have Kurt there for the pop-shot, which he sprays over both girls' faces. Other action includes both girls taking it from Kurt - often with the girls 69ing as he enters one of them doggy style.
Gina Lynn is next, and Jules invokes the ol' "director's prerogative" rule of porn and decides to take Ms. Lynn for himself. There's a long (perhaps too long) montage at the beginning of this scene of Gina posing and teasing the camera, but the two finally start making out - in what is a rather standard scene for a
Flesh Hunter movie. Of course, there's no anal here (Gina has yet to take a cock up her ass on camera to my knowledge), but there is a nice cumshot at the conclusion as Jules jerks all over her pretty face.
Looking much sexier now that she has changed her hair color from blonde to a dark red, Tiffany Mynx has become kind of a perennial performer in many of Jules' releases. Here, she gets into it with Brian Pumper and Frank Gun in a scene that includes anal and double penetration. Brian cums first, shooting a load into Tiff's mouth, followed by Frank.
One scene that doesn't seem too long is an interracial one between newcomer Christie Lee and the very well-endowed Mandingo. I've seen Christie in several titles now, and she's become one of my favorite young performers - mostly because she seems to enjoy having sex just as much as I enjoy watching her have it. Seeing her take Mandingo's huge cock into her rather small frame was a real joy to watch in this scene - and Christie looks hot as well, wearing black boots with black fishnets.
Tiffany Holiday is a thin brunette who takes on Arnold Schwartzenpecker and Scott Lyons in the final scene on Disc One of the double disc set (the final two scenes are located on Disc Two). This scene contains the most anal and double penetration action of any of the scenes in
Flesh Hunter 8, and while Tiffany is probably the least appealing of all the performers on this DVD, she scores points with this reviewer for her willingness to get nasty on camera - including a bit where Scott shoves a very long pole (the decorative kind with water and sparkles inside) up into her ass.
The final two scenes (once again, on Disc Two) seem almost an afterthought, as they are both one-on-one segments with Jules as the main performer. First we get to see him have fun with Alaura Eden, who looks quite appealing in black stockings and garters and takes a good deal of anal from Jules in her scene. The final scene is with newcomer Merrick Morgan, who doesn't do anything spectacular during her segment - which serves as more of a way of introducing her to the porn viewing public than anything else.
As if four hours of these girls in action weren't enough, Disc Two contains an additional 48-minutes worth of deleted footage - mostly consisting of segments where the camera shook for a second or two and couldn't be used, or other bits that for one reason or another didn't make the final cut. The second DVD also contains three trailers, filmographies and a fetish menu that will allow viewers to re-watch much of the footage from both DVDs in this set - including a pop-shot recap.
There's no denying that fans will be getting their money's worth in porn action should they pick up this title, although I still think a shorter movie would have made for a more erotically stimulating one. But compared to most gonzo material that comes out these days,
Flesh Hunter 8 is still above average and Jules Jordan still knows what it takes to make an appealing porn title. Rent it first if you are unsure about making the investment, but it's definitely worth checking out at least once even if you aren't going to add it to your permanent collection.
