Although he's not quite delivering the best porn I've seen as an adult reviewer, I don't think there's any doubt that director Eon McKai is creating adult movies that are totally different than anything else on the market now. His
Art School Sluts was one of the biggest surprises of 2004, and his latest release
Kill Girl Kill brings us more of the same - although I don't think it's quite as good as his previous release.
One of the things that McKai seems determined to do in each of his films is to give them that old-style early 1980s look - so it's almost like you're watching a VHS instead of a DVD. The transfer here is actually quite good...so be aware that all the grain, dirt and fuzzy imagery that you are seeing in
Kill Girl Kill is intentional, and not the result of bad filmmaking or a poor digital transfer.
Another thing I enjoy about McKai's movies is his selection of girls. He (like many of us at home, including myself) seems to be very into the goth and punk look, and the females in each of these scenes represent that. You won't see any busty blondes in an Eon McKai movie...his girls are more natural looking, and more grungy looking as well.
There are five scenes in
Kill Girl Kill, starting off with Veronica Jett, who gets it on with Kurt Lockwood. Veronica is a brunette with pierced nipples who wears sexy white socks throughout her scene with Kurt. There's anal here in the reverse cowgirl position, as well as a nice facial at the end of the action.
Those looking for some more anal fun should enjoy Scene Two between the dark-haired and tattooed Katrina Kraven and young stud James Deen. Katrina mounts James anally in the reverse cowgirl position, and there's a lot of ass to mouth fun as she gets off several times to suck on James' cock, only to remount him once again.
The only threesome in
Kill Girl Kill features Mya Rose (who looks to be at least partially African American, and sports several piercings and tattoos), Gia Jordan and Kurt Lockwood. Mia is on the receiving end of some anal here, and this scene may have the most interesting pop-shot in porn this year - as Kurt pulls out of Mya (in the missionary position) and unloads onto a mirror that Gia has placed on Mya's stomach. Yes, this is the same kind of compact mirror that coke whores use, and Gia gets a straw and snorts it up into her nose! I've watched a lot of porn, and that may be the first time I've seen this done...I don't know if it's sexy, but damn if it's not creative!
In the next to last scene, cover girl Brooklyn makes out with Trent Soluri on a couch. This is a pretty basic scene as far as the sexual action is concerned, and includes missionary, reverse cowgirl, doggy, and a scene-ending facial that Trent jerks into her mouth and down off of her chin.
The final scene showcases Zoe Matthews (who sports multi-colored braided hair) and Benny Profane, who happens to be one of the more goofier-looking male performers I've seen in a while (what's up with the sideburns, dude?!). This is another fairly standard scene that covers most of the basic positions and ends with Benny shooting onto Zoe's stomach in easily the least exciting cumshot of the title.
Because the last two scenes are rather average, I didn't enjoy
Kill Girl Kill as much as
Art School Sluts...but that doesn't mean it's not worth checking out. The first three scenes on this disc contain the kind of creativity that makes Eon McKai a director worth keeping your eye on, and the DVD has some nice bonus material - including a director's commentary track (that also includes comments from stars Zoe Matthews, Veronica Jett, Mya Rose and others); a 9-minute behind the scenes featurette; and three trailers for other VCA releases.
