The Workplace is one of those adult features that should work (no pun intended) but doesn't quite live up to expectations.
I think part of the problem here is that there is very little dialogue to set up each of the scenes.
The Workplace is more of a series of vignettes than it is a full-blown feature, and because there isn't any kind of sexual tension built up between the performers, there's not a lot of chemistry once they do start to make out with each other.
The most dialogue may occur during the very first segment, when an office worker played by Kirsten Price comes in to see her boss, who is played by Savanna Samson. The conversation turns naughty, and Savanna asks Kirsten to get up on the table and dance for her, which she does. It's not long before the two ladies are intertwined in some lesbian action, which includes sharing a glass vibe and Savanna wearing a strap-on and pounding Kirsten missionary style.
Scene Two is a bit of a misfire, as it takes place not in the office, but down at the loading dock, where Katja Kassin is ravished by delivery man Tony T. Part of the reason this scene doesn't really work is location...as Katja is basically forced to take it on a concrete floor, with a few pieces of cardboard lying around so her skin doesn't get all scuffed up. The good news, of course, is that with this being Katja, there is a good deal of anal in the scene, which concludes with Tony jerking into her mouth and onto her face.
It's back up to the offices for
The Workplace's best scene - a bathroom encounter between the very-sexy Penny Flame and Chris Cannon. Penny looks fantastic at the beginning of the scene, and I was glad to see the black thigh-highs she had on remained on throughout the sex.
We stay in the office environment for the final two scenes - an encounter between Sandra Romain and Jay; and a movie-ending encounter between Savanna and Trent Tesoro that includes Savanna getting anal in the missionary position.
Extras here include a handful of bonus scenes from other Vivid titles (three of which showcase Savanna); a 17-minute behind the scenes segment; two slide shows; and four trailers of other Vivid releases.
I think if more of a story had been wrapped around the sex in
The Workplace it would have made for a better movie. As it is, there's really nothing connecting one sex scene to the next, nor is there any kind of spark between the actors participating in each of the scenes. It's a decent rental for Savanna fans...but not much more beyond that.
