About Sharon Thorpe
Porn Star Biography for Sharon Thorpe
Adult Debut
Sharon Thorpe, a San Francisco native, began her career as a pornographic film performer in the early 1970s. In 1973 she played Harriet in Zachary Strong's one-day wonder "Three Cheers for B.J.U." (AKA "School for Hookers"). Initially cast in roles, she gradually won over film critics and fans with her solid acting capabilities and her passionate, sensual enthusiasm with partners.
San Francisco Classics
Sharon's stardom came in Robert McCallum's "3 A.M." (1975). This movie is considered one of Sharon's finest acting pieces. Thorpe summoned her inner "Mrs. Robinson," as a sexy thirty-something who consoles and satisfies the carnal yearnings of her neighbor's son (Charles Hooper) after the accidental homicidal death of his father. The act commences as a shy romantic union of two unlikely souls and evolves into a torrid interchange that becomes an instigator for the boy and his sister (Clair Dia) to embark upon their own sexual exploration.
Thorpe's touching and erotic scene with Johnny Keyes in Anthony Spinelli's SexWorld (1977) could be considered the seminal performance of her career. SexWorld is a getaway resort that matches applicants with candidates promising to fulfill sexual requirements, Sharon and Keyes intuitively and lovingly anticipate one another's emotional and physical cravings. With bodies entwined, they effortlessly put a perfect exclamation mark on the weekend's curious rendezvous.
Sharon worked for such famous directors as Anthony Spinelli, Mitchell Brothers, and Robert McCallum (AKA Gary Graver). Her on-screen partners were some top names of the 1970s such as Annette Haven, Desiree West, Candida Royalle, Bill Margold, Jamie Gillis, John Holmes, John Leslie, Paul Thomas to name a few.
Life After Adult Films
In the mid-seventies, Thorpe began to work in the areas of production and musical direction before leaving the adult business in 1979 to pursue other opportunities. Her last film was Ramsey Karson's "Untamed" (1979). Reportedly, Sharon Thorpe presently resides in San Francisco and works as a real estate agent.
